PT. KOMATSU Indonesia

On November 26, 2020, around 10:00 am (GMT + 7). PT. KOMATSU Indonesia visited NBRI office to discuss together with the founder of NBRI, Prof. Dr. rer nat Evvy Kartini related to the possibility of cooperation in battery development.

PT. KOMATSU Indonesia itself is a company engaged in the heavy equipment sector, where the equipment still uses biofuel as its fuel. PT. KOMATSU Indonesia is aware of the impact of emissions generated by these vehicles and the challenges due to a new policy from the Indonesian government regarding the transformation of gasoline-based vehicles to electric or battery. However, until now, PT. KOMATSU Indonesia has not yet found a battery capable of supplying sufficient energy for their equipment.

Apart from this, PT. KOMATSU Indonesia also offers cooperation with NBRI in the field of training and education related to battery development. This collaboration will be continued with a lecture session that will invite Prof. Dr. rer nat Evvy Kartini to discuss the battery challenge in Indonesia which will be held on December 11, 2020.
