MoU Signing Ceremony between NBRI PT. Surveyor Indonesia

Jakarta, Thursday 11 November 2021 – The National Battery Research Institute and PT Surveyor Indonesia have held a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony at Ruang Rapat Pemerintah, Graha Surveyor Indonesia. The agenda was opened with opening remarks from the President Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero) M. Haris Witjaksono then continued with remarks from Prof. Dr. rer. Nat Evvy Kartini, founder of the National Battery Research Institute.

President Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia, Mr. Haris in his speech conveyed the development of nickel potential in Indonesia. In the context of Renewable Energy, it is important to develop not only technology but also humans. PT Surveyor Indonesia is not only engaged in investing in tools but also in people. In the future, the need for environmentally friendly energy encourages PT Surveyor Indonesia as a State-Owned Enterprise to move towards Renewable Energy.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Evvy Kartini as the founder of the National Battery Research Institute said that it was an honor for NBRI to receive a warm welcome from PT Surveyor Indonesia. In his presentation Prof. Evvy emphasized how the potential of nickel as the next oil can become Indonesia's strength in the future. NBRI strives to be a hub from upstream to downstream processes.

The event was closed with the signing of a memorandum of understanding by both parties. Both NBRI and Surveyor Indonesia hope that in the future there will be constructive collaboration in battery research and development, regulation, and consumer protection.
