International Battery Summit 2024 Launched by Leading Indonesian Figures

Jakarta, 29 July 2024 – In a significant move towards advancing Indonesia's role in the global battery industry, the International Battery Summit 2024 was officially launched on July 29, 2024, at Hotel Mulia Jakarta. Hosted and organized by the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI), co-hosted by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs (Kemenkomarvest), and co-organized by Pamerindo, this high-profile event saw the participation of key figures including the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Presidency, the Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Founder of the National Battery Research Institute, the Chairman of the Association of Indonesia Nickel Miners (APNI), the CEO of INFIEN ENERGI, and representatives from Pamerindo.

The summit, which promises to be a pivotal platform for discussions on the future of battery technology, is set against the backdrop of Indonesia's ambitious plans to become a global hub for electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
