idBattery: Advancing Indonesia’s Battery Ecosystem Through Strategic Alliances
The National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) is proud to announce its involvement in the establishment of idBattery: Indonesia’s Battery Ecosystem Association, an initiative that seeks to propel the country’s battery industry into the future. This important event took place during the Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) on September 5-6, 2024, where leaders from around the world gathered to discuss solutions for decarbonization and sustainable economic growth.
At the event, Prof. Evvy Kartini, the founder of NBRI, represented the institute during the official launch of the alliance. She emphasized NBRI’s commitment to supporting sustainable energy solutions, stating that this collaboration would not only boost Indonesia’s standing in the global battery industry but also drive innovation and development. As a key research partner within the idBattery alliance, NBRI is optimistic that this partnership will significantly contribute to creating a more sustainable future.
According to Prof. Kartini, the formation of idBattery is a crucial step in building a comprehensive battery ecosystem in Indonesia. By linking academic research, industrial advancements, and government policy, the alliance aims to accelerate the country’s transition to sustainable energy. She further noted that through strategic cooperation, Indonesia can strengthen its position in the global clean energy sector.
NBRI’s role in idBattery aligns with its mission to develop cutting-edge battery technologies that not only support economic growth but also address environmental challenges. The institute believes that by fostering strong partnerships, it can play a key role in shaping a more sustainable and efficient future for battery technology in Indonesia and beyond.
